- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities

- View every problem as solvable with the right amount of persistence and creativity
What the job involves
- We're looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to support our CEO. This is not a traditional calendar-management role
- Our CEO is deeply involved in founder-led strategic partnerships, fundraising conversations, and company leadership. Success in this role requires someone who can operate as the CEO's force multiplier—keeping priorities moving, creating leverage, and ensuring critical conversations don't fall through the cracks
- You'll spend a significant portion of your time supporting new partnerships and existing partnership efforts by coordinating meetings, managing follow-ups, tracking outreach, and helping maintain momentum across a wide range of external stakeholders
- You'll need to be comfortable applying pressure when necessary, tracking down information, and ensuring the right people are moving with urgency
- Manage and optimize the CEO's complex calendar and priorities
- Coordinate internal and external meetings across multiple stakeholders and time zones
- Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and briefing documents
- Help ensure action items and commitments are captured and completed
- Serve as a trusted gatekeeper and strategic partner to the CEO
- Provide ad-hoc personal administrative support and lifestyle management
- Coordinate meetings with prospective customers, partners, investors, and advisors
- Drive scheduling across busy executives and external stakeholders
- Track meeting requests, follow-ups, and next steps
- Partner closely with Sales, Partnerships, and Leadership teams to keep opportunities moving
- Help maintain CRM hygiene and sales process discipline
- Proactively chase down information and remove bottlenecks that could slow deals
- Create systems and processes that help the CEO operate more efficiently
- Maintain organization across key initiatives and strategic projects
- Anticipate needs before they become urgent
- Help prepare for board meetings, leadership meetings, offsites, and customer events
- Act as a true partner and life-optimizer, managing everything from complex business calendars to occasional personal scheduling and logistics so the Executive can operate at peak productivity
- Our CEO's time is one of Clair's most valuable resources. The person in this role will have a direct impact on how quickly we build relationships, close partnerships, and execute on the opportunities in front of us
- You'll have a front-row seat to company-building, work closely with senior leadership, and help shape the next chapter of Clair's growth
Our take
Clair is a social impact fintech startup offering instant no-fee pay access, so that gig companies and HR tech can offer hourly workers cash advances on their earnings. It aims to both mitigate the risks taken on by workers in the growing gig economy, and help gig companies recruit and retain their workforce in a market characterized by fluctuating demand.
Clair secured two rounds of funding from Thrive Capital, a big win given their reputation for funding and building game-changing fintech. This is a game that certainly looks set to change - with 80 million hourly workers and 60 million gig workers, this precariously positioned segment of the US workforce is both large and growing.
Mastercard, MetaBank, and Galileo have all thrown their weight behind Clair to provide the financial infrastructure that makes their payment model possible. Following the recent surge in the gig economy, Clair offers both an attractive and necessary tool to sustain the livelihoods of the people working in this sector.
