- Proven experience in high-profile, multi-faceted programs

What the job involves
- The Staff Program Manager will help develop and execute processes for a global, centralized Product and Design team of +450 Product Managers and Product Designers
- They will drive regular business operations to coordinate, collaborate, and execute on the rollout out of a new program
- To do this well they will effectively partner with Product Managers and collaborate across disciplines in a matrixed and geographically diverse team
- This role will be focused on large scale projects, supporting key daily and weekly business operations used to coordinate, collaborate, and executive team programs
- They will partner closely with leaders to support team communication and set up mechanisms to successfully help Product fulfill on goals
- To do so, they will effectively collaborate across disciplines in a matrixed and geographically diverse team
- A successful person in this role will have strong program planning, strategic thinking, and execution skills, change and release management experience, and superior problem-solving skills
- They will communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- They will build effective and productive relationships by fostering trust and communicating clearly
- They will be organized, have a bias to act quickly, enjoy diving into details and data, and be curious to learn all facets of the program
- They will also be bold to advise program leadership on what can be improved and what the team needs to thrive
- Planning and Execution:
- Develop and improve end-to-end planning processes across our product portfolio, including product design, engineering, people and culture, finance, and product operations
- Collaborate with Product Design and Technology partners to ensure integrated processes that meet all needs
- Lead and run regular leadership meetings to facilitate key decisions, effective collaboration, and team education
- Advisory Role:
- Serve as a key advisor to DTC Product and Operations leaders for cross department initiatives
- Lead cross-functional planning workshops in collaboration with area owners and executive stakeholders
- Plan and execute long-range plans and build the P&D's Sketch
- Reporting and Communication:
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day reporting, including status updates, priorities, risks, and action items
- Ensure teams have the information and assets needed to deliver their key priorities
- Enhance program mechanisms and processes to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Develop and implement strategies for global expansion projects and large-scale initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
- Lead planning workshops, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and executive leadership
- Manage day-to-day operations, including status updates, prioritization, risk management, and action items
- Drive effective communication across teams, ensuring resources and information are available for success
- Advise leadership on improvements, providing actionable insights and recommendations
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and innovation
- Organize and run leadership meetings to support decision-making and team collaboration
- Enhance program mechanisms to support a culture of continuous improvement across the product portfolio

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) is an entertainment company formed from the 2022 merger of Warner Bros and Discovery. It is a leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing, and marketing of content, with Warner Bros alone boasting a huge library – more than 100,000 hours of programming – before the companies were joined. WBD’s portfolio includes Discovery Channel, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Discovery+, HBO Max, and franchises like “Batman” and “Harry Potter”.
Both of the company’s previous businesses have operated throughout the digitisation of the media space. David Zaslav, CEO of WBD, headed Discovery during its expansion into digital media, to make it a “content company” over a “cable company”. The recent focus for Warner Bros has been on next-gen distribution efforts, expanding the availability of its content across platforms and devices to reach the modern viewer. The new company has plans to migrate to one tech stack, which will require extensive retooling, as well as exploring cost-saving automation opportunities for its operations.
Since the merger, the new giant that is Warner Bros Discovery has had a shaky start, forcing the company to wind down operations and cut back on content, which included the very public scrapping of the “Batgirl” movie. However, it now seems the company may have been ahead of the curve, as a wider trend of cutbacks has been seen from peers in the space. This early move, combined with a hyper-focus on cash generation, seeks to establish WBD as an outperformer in an industry on the downturn.
