Who you are

You are passionate about video games and video game experiences
You care a lot about design and user experience and obsess over creating interfaces that excite and delight users
Exceptional with React; Typescript; Next.js/Vite; CSS/SCSS
Dabbled with some Solidity code and eager to learn more
You are intrigued and excited about NFTs and crypto, and want to build cool things for the community
You're ready for a challenge and wanting to be on the cutting edge of innovation within the crypto space
Highly technical, but have an eye for design and eager to learn how to be a collaborative stakeholder within the design process
You may have experience with TailwindCSS (added bonus) or willing to learn all about it
Ultimately, you’re just a really awesome person who enjoys working with other awesome people and having a blast building impactful products as a team
4+ years of frontend development experience with React
4+ years of experience with Javascript/Typescript
Experience with data modeling with noSQL and SQL databases
Strong experience with server side rendering
Some experience with frameworks like NextJS preferred
Some experience with on-chain languages like Solidity preferred
Some experience building abstraction layer / api layers for use by frontend developers preferred

Excited to be adding to our senior engineering team with a Senior Frontend Engineer
Proof of Play is committed to building fully on chain games, and the technical tools to power them, in order to facilitate autonomous worlds, ensure game longevity, and create a more immersive player experience

Our take

Proof of Play acts as both a game studio and a blockchain technology company, delivering the tools to build fully on-chain games. Through its suite of tools, it is possible to create decentralized titles in which players own their characters and assets, with an important emphasis on simplifying access so that gamers less versed in the blockchain can still get involved.

Blockchain games are a relatively new idea, and the direction of the market is yet to be established, which should give Proof of Play the opportunity to set its own standards. The first game built through the platform, Pirate Nation, has had a tentatively positive reception, which is promising for a first title.

Bringing together a team of gaming veterans from the likes of Riot Games, EA, and ActiVision, as well as early blockchain adopters, Proof of Play has a solid foundation from which to navigate the developing space. It has raised substantial funds that will be invested in company growth, as well as the further scaling of its technology.
