- We are seeking a Senior Frontend Software Developer who is passionate about creating advanced web applications that revolutionize healthcare

- Experience/Interest working with Vue.js highly desired
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field + 8 years of experience
- OR MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field + 6 years
- OR equivalent practical experience as a full-stack software engineer
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and other web technologies
- Project Experience: Demonstrated experience in building and deploying large-scale, customer-facing web applications
- Leadership Skills: Experience contributing to technical vision and translating strategy into design; ability to mentor and guide other engineers
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven track record of successful collaboration with product management and design teams in a fast-paced environment
- Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools
- Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of web security best practices
- DevOps: Experience with DevOps best practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines)
- Regulatory Understanding: Experience with or willingness to learn about FDA regulations and compliance requirements for medical software
Desirable
- Vue.js Expertise: Hands-on experience with Vue.js and its ecosystem
- Cloud Proficiency: Familiarity with AWS services
- Regulated Industry Experience: Previous experience working with FDA-regulated products or in another highly regulated industry
- Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with medical imaging products or healthcare technologies
- Django Framework: Nice to have
What the job involves
- As a Senior Frontend Software Developer, you will play a key role in shaping our web-based solutions, ensuring they meet and exceed healthcare professionals' expectations
- You will drive technical vision and architectural decisions, mentor other engineers, and contribute to the technical excellence of our team
- Design and Develop: Independent, end-to-end ownership of the design, development, testing, and maintenance of robust customer-facing interactive web applications. Make data-driven decisions while practicing creative problem solving
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide other engineers within the team, promoting best practices and continuous learning
- Collaboration: Work closely with API teams, Product, QA, and UI/UX to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality of web applications
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and user experience. Build for scalability, observability, and security
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with FDA regulations for medical software, including documentation, quality assurance processes, and adherence to regulatory standards in web application development
- Innovation: Contribute to a culture of innovation, best practices, and continuous improvement within the team
Our take
HeartFlow was founded in 2007 and is a medical equipment manufacturer that uses CT-scanned 3D modelling to assess and analyze a patient's arteries. This noninvasive process can help assess the risks of heart disease and strategize the appropriate treatment.
HeartFlow has had a long history of awards and innovations. In 2021, it brought its technology to the NHS in England and in October 2022, introduced a plaque analysis service. As time has gone on, Heartflow has indicated that it is keeping up with technological advances and finding new ways to provide heart health services through them.
HeartFlow successfully launched its IPO in 2021 but faced a setback when its merger with Longview Acquisitions was called off in 2022 due to unfavourable market conditions. Despite this, the company has made a strong comeback and recently unveiled its next-generation plaque analysis AI, demonstrating its continued commitment to innovation and growth.
