Who you are
- You bring a proactive, hunter mentality and a drive to get things done, consistently seeking out and securing new business opportunities to expand our market presence
- You bring a track record of success in leading outbound sales teams, ideally within a software or SaaS environment
- A natural ability to influence others through clear presentation and the communication of complex data analysis is essential
- You will have an inquisitive and positive mindset when approaching complex problems and developing strategic call plans
- Your background includes experience driving accountability across inside sales teams while maintaining excellent interpersonal and consultative skills

- Experience navigating Salesforce or similar CRM systems to manage pipeline and improve sales team capabilities is vital

What the job involves
- You will join a collaborative sales leadership team focused on the Americas, working closely with marketing and product marketing to align on growth strategies
- Your role sits at the heart of our New Business unit, where you will mentor a team of six direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and transparent communication to hit collective targets
- The team is currently working on / Initially, you will focus on:
- Strategically developing a Canadian account executive strategy that challenges the status quo and identifies high-value opportunities
- Implementing and refining prospecting cadence tools and sales activities using Salesforce to ensure robust CRM hygiene
- Driving the hiring, interviewing, and successful onboarding of new team members to expand our reach in the region
- Analysing and reporting on weekly forecasting and 3x pipeline conversions to ensure consistent revenue and net new CMR growth

It has a strong rival in Intuit QuickBooks, which offers similar services, but competes by being most effective for growing startups, and having an incredibly simple user experience.
A series of acquisitions and partnerships, including the purchase of Instafile in 2018, have consolidated Xero’s market share. The company continues to add new integrations, such as with Vehocheck Workshop Manager, and the 2023 launched Beautiful Business Fund that will help small businesses accelerate growth.
