Role
Who you are
- 4-7 years of professional experience, including time in a high-performing startup or scaleup (Seed-Series B); consulting, investment banking or PE alongside that is a plus
- Have built AI-powered tooling and automations that removed meaningful manual work, using Claude, LLM APIs, MCP integrations, or no-code/low-code platforms like Zapier, n8n or Make
- Use AI tools as a core part of your day-to-day work, and can move from idea to working prototype quickly
- Strong on data: advanced Excel, you independently analyse and end on a clear recommendation, and learning or using SQL doesn't scare you
- Communicate clearly, from written docs to presentations you'd put in front of investors or senior leadership
- Take ownership from problem to implementation: you spot what needs fixing, don't wait for perfect instructions, and work effectively across teams you don't manage
What the job involves
- Build alongside the teams: Sit with the people doing the work (sellers, ops, finance, marketing), map the process, redesign it where it's broken, and ship the fix yourself: a workflow in Zapier/n8n/Make, a script, or an LLM-powered tool
- Drive AI adoption: Building the automation is half the job; getting it used is the other half. Run the training cadence, track usage, measure hours saved and the underlying economics, and roll out what works. Research the latest trends, test new tools as they emerge and deliver the company AI strategy day to day
- Optimise funnel ops: Run the systems behind acquisition and onboarding, the CRM, the automations and multi-product workflows, the re-engagement and lifecycle journeys. QA how the funnel is built, find what's leaking, own lead triaging and scoring so the right leads reach the right people at the right time, and keep it all holding up as we scale
- Support the commercial engine: Be the data and execution engine behind our growth, including partnerships with some of the UK's biggest energy and consumer brands. You cut the numbers on what's driving performance, chase actions and partner deliverables to completion, and build the decks behind them
- (For more experienced candidates) - Multiply the founders:** Take work off the founders' plates and raise the quality bar on it, the board packs, investor updates and All Hands, the quarterly planning cycle, fundraising support, and whatever the highest-priority project of the moment happens to be. As we grow, help build the people and org foundations behind that, hiring and onboarding systems, and mapping who owns what

Sunsave, founded in 2022, is on a mission to make the power of solar accessible to every household in the UK. They're the first (and as of 2025 the only) company in the UK to offer an FCA-authorised solar subscription service - a model that's been very successful in places like Germany and the US.
70% of people in the UK are interested in solar, and Sunsave's model removes the biggest barrier to adoption - the ~£10k typical upfront cost and long payback period - so customers can save on their energy bills from day one. They offer an all-in-one subscription that includes finance, installation, monitoring and maintenance, really helping customers get the most out of their systems
Already, the company has attracted the attention of blue-chip VC funds such as Norrsken, IPGL, the UK Department of Energy, and household name entrepreneurs, including Michael Spencer and Stuart Rose. Alongside this, they raised a £13M Series A in July 2025, alongside a £100M debt facility to scale their subscription model.
They plan to also expand into complementary products like EV chargers and heat pumps, alongside tariff optimisation and energy insight software. The eventual aim is to build the company's first decentralised home energy platform and revolutionise households' relationship with energy.
