Who you are
- With your passion for technology and your desire to keep up with the latest developments in your industry, you also inspire your colleagues and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues, partners and customers. Do you also enjoy pair/mob programming and good instructions/documentation?
- You have experience in the architecture and conception of modular systems, REST APIs or event-based interfaces
- You also have very good knowledge of Java programming, as well as experience with Apache Kafka and preferably Docker and Kubernetes
- You have a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and design patterns and are familiar with agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban
- With your excellent communication skills in German and English, you convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Furthermore, you have experience in leading development teams and in delivering large-scale system
- You work in a structured way, are reliable, show initiative and enjoy working in a (cool!) team
What the job involves
- In implementation projects, you will be responsible for the design, development and maintainability of the Java-based backend systems, incorporating a modular service architecture based on our own aixigo:BLOXX platform
- The technical leadership of a development team as well as the support and guidance of the developers are also part of your area of responsibility
- You are a multiplier of knowledge about the use of the aixigo:BLOXX platform in your own project or in the project of a customer or implementation partner and thus a very important success factor for these projects
- You work closely with business consultants and analysts, product managers and other stakeholders to analyze requirements and implement new software solutions
- You support the creation of offers through your ability to oversee the implementation of requirements and anticipate challenges
- Furthermore, you ensure that the systems are developed with performance, scalability and security in mind
- You keep up to date with new technologies and industry trends and apply your knowledge to improving our technology landscape
- You take part in code reviews and provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement
- You act as a technical expert who guides, coaches and supports the development team
Our take
Aixigo’s was founded during the late 90s stock market boom as a way to educate new investors. The company’s foundations stem from Aachen University research into investor “ambiguity aversion”, eventually becoming a spin-off project from the university. Since then, Aixigo has steadily grown as a digitalisation solution for the wealth management industry.
Aixigo’s products span advising, analysing, managing and planning for wealth management clients. Most interestingly, its aixigo:BLOXX solution kits effectively bundle a range of fintech tools and analysis products that are tailored to the needs of each wealth management customer.
The company has evolved over its 25-year life and kept up with fintech software trends. Its focus at present is on digitising wealth management businesses whilst researching and developing new innovative products for the sector. An acquisition by Amundi in 2024 speaks volumes to Aixigo’s steady success. It has more than a trillion euros under management and clients include leading European financial institutions.
