Role
Who you are
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field
- 5+ years of full-stack web development experience
- Designing and building APIs
- Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
- Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
- Prior experience using back end languages, Ruby on Rails a plus
- Prior experience using front end web frameworks
- Minimum 2 years experience in an engineering manager, team lead, or lead developer-like role
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Engineering Manager to join Snapsheet’s Claims Management team that is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to create impactful solutions
- This team develops cutting-edge solutions for our main SaaS product, Snapsheet Cloud, that brings modern technology and processes to claims organizations
- As part of the Claims Management team, you will be collaborating with your team in delivering industry leading features, APIs and scalability initiatives for our product
- As the Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the team in defining architectures and solutions that span our entire cloud platform
- You'll drive major initiatives while fostering strong relationships and guiding the team's ongoing success
- At Snapsheet, Engineering Managers are not just people leaders—they’re also builders and strategists who stay close to the code and the customer
- You'll manage and contribute to upcoming projects
- Coach and mentor a team of high powered engineers
- Write code in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to quality
- Collaborate with other development teams, product management and design to identify and solve challenging, cross-domain problems
- Contribute to architecture, strategy and decisions
- Coordinate, scope and execute on large initiatives
- Play an influential role in growing Snapsheet to be the industry leader in technology
- Partner with our internal recruitment team to screen, interview and hire top talent

Snapsheet delivers end-to-end and modular cloud SaaS solutions for claims management, helping to digitize and automate the space. Its vast capabilities, including an AI-powered damage estimation tool, make claims processes easier to manage and less risk-prone for clients and providers alike.
In recent years, there has been a surge in interest in insurtech, which has certainly helped Snapsheet capture clients and support as it expands. As the sector continues to reassess procedures across the board, a further shift towards automation seems likely, driving yet more clients towards the kind of offerings that the company provides.
Certainly, Snapsheet has positioned itself well in the market, remaining a key player as the sector takes shape. On top of a successful 2022 - in which the company reported 63% year-over-year growth, and 54 new & expanded customer relationships - its focus remains on providing solutions that improve the customer and adjuster experience, in order to keep delivering value and keep itself at the front of market development.
