Who you are
- Are you interested in general management with a desire to develop brands? Do you have a passion for understanding the category and consumer? Do you want to be a part of developing breakthrough marketing campaigns that drive both profitable growth and brand health?
- The ideal candidate will have completed 2+ years in a business/marketing degree program
- Must be able to come into the office 2-3 days per week
- Experience working on Brand Marketing/ Management team is strongly preferred
- Embraces change, collaborates well, has an open mind and passion to learn
- General knowledge and interest of the beauty retail industry
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks across multiple teams and programs
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Keen attention to detail and organization
- Analytical mindset and adeptness in problem-solving
- Curious, creative and flexible with demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Motivation to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
What the job involves
- The Shark Beauty Brand Marketing Intern will be an integral part of the marketing team, contributing to various initiatives that will help shape the success of the brand
- You’ll gain experience in sampling, marketing planning, event coordination, sales and more
- This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in marketing and strategy in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Coordination of consumer research activities
- Marketing collateral review and feedback (retailer/web/social)
- Packaging, instruction manual, quick start guide creation/updates and cross-functional approval
- Competitive landscape/marketing plan analysis
- Sample management for photoshoots, PR, and other media events
- Participation/preparation for team meetings and executive reviews
- Category Database Management (NPD etc)
- Support management of external agencies
- Brainstorming & bringing new ideas to the table
- Other responsibilities and tasks, as assigned
- Learn about corporate process and unique Shark systems
- Deep dive into digital first marketing campaigns and activations including but not limited to beauty—inspiration can come from anywhere here at SN
- Demonstrate an understanding of our business from a sku assortment and growth opportunity perspective
- Dive into white space opportunities and competitive products

Consumer demand for new and better home appliances continues to grow. SharkNinja serves this demand by designing and manufacturing innovative home goods and devices. Specifically, it has a growing line of solutions that consist of Shark cleaning and home care products and Ninja kitchen appliances.
SharkNinja has been in operation since 1994, which is testament to the quality and popularity of its products. Since its initial launch in Canada, the company has expanded into the US and the UK. In 2017 SharkNinja was bought by CDH Private Equity for over $1.5 Billion, further proof of its impressive market value. Perhaps more evidence is that it brings in annual revenues of around $4B.
SharkNinja’s main challenge is facing down big-name competitors such as home appliance giant Dyson. In fact, through innovative design, it seized the market-leading spot in traditional vacuums from Dyson and is only second to iRobot in sales of robotic models. A 2023 IPO saw an extra $296 million in funding added to SharkNinja's pot and was followed by product launches in new sectors such as air conditioning and food cooling, indicating that the company is still full of new product ideas.
