Who you are
- 5+ years in DevOps / Software Engineering with deep technical expertise
- 3+ years leading teams, with a proven track record of developing people and fostering team engagement
- Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Strategic thinking with the ability to connect platform goals to business outcomes
- Passion for building intuitive, efficient, and empowering developer experiences
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a DevOps Team Lead to drive our strategic evolution from traditional DevOps to a modern Platform Engineering approach. This is your opportunity to lead innovation, empower teams through self-service platforms, and create a high-impact developer experience
- Lead the shift from DevOps to a platform-centric mindset, redefining how we build and operate systems
- Inspire and guide a talented team — setting direction, coaching for growth, and fostering a culture of trust, ownership, and high performance
- Build developer velocity by creating a scalable, self-service platform that simplifies delivery, eliminates toil, and accelerates innovation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless platform adoption
- Champion best practices in automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native development
- Continuously optimize – identifying bottlenecks, improving processes, and driving operational excellence

Our take
Leadership meetings are necessary, and hugely influential, but all too often a drain on time. Indeed, there’s a wealth of evidence showing that only 50% of meeting time is well spent, whether they’re conducted in person or online.
Sherpany is attempting to make both online and office-based meetings more productive, with a SaaS offering built to accelerate meeting set-up, agenda setting, decision-making, document access, and follow-up. Crucially, the platform can work in combination with popular video conferencing apps like Microsoft Teams and Zoom, rather than competing with them.
Like many meeting-focused software companies, Sherpany went through a real growth spurt during the height of the pandemic and now works with a number of high-profile European companies like Zurich Insurance Group, Röchling, and Axpo. This growth led to its acquisition by SaaS platform Datasite in 2024. With hybrid and remote work set to stay for many enterprises, however, there’s plenty of cause for encouragement that Sherpany can continue its growth under its current ownership.
