Role
Who you are
- You’ve collected 1-2 years of work experience in product design or finished a design degree in interface design, interaction design, or similar
- You have a portfolio that demonstrates your talent for visual design, interaction design, and prototyping
- Plus if you have experience in any of these: Webflow, animation, or user research
- You are self-motivated, comfortable to work on several tasks at once and proactively asking for feedback
- You are familiar with the common design tools (we mainly work with Figma) and know how to bring design ideas to life with low and high fidelity prototypes
- You are fluent in English. German is a plus, because some of our user research sessions are conducted in German
- You have a valid EU work permit and reside within the EU. re:cap does not offer visa or relocation support at the moment
What the job involves
- You will play an important role in our growing product team and support on a wide range of design topics to make our digital products more pleasant to use
- You will report to our Lead Product Designer
- You are involved in all phases of the product development process, from ideation to design execution to production, always keeping our users' needs in mind
- You use your creativity and eye for detail to create a convenient user experience
- You apply our existing design system to create new features or make suggestions to enhance our design language
- You collaborate with other team members from e.g. design, engineering, growth and marketing
- You demonstrate your curiosity to constantly learn about new design trends
- You support in designing marketing assets for our social channels, newsletters, and website from time to time

Our take
Whilst large companies have established means of securing financing for such a business model, smaller and newer businesses often find obtaining such funding difficult, given that their recurring margins are low and that they often need time to gain increased profitability. Smaller companies therefore find it difficult to raise enough funds to facilitate expansion and enter new markets.
Re:cap is one firm that looks to tackle this gap in the market by providing on-demand, non-dilutive funding options to accelerate growth. Re:cap provides scalable funding options in line with company growth, whilst using infrastructure that easily integrates. The company uses an interface that generates pivotal company data in order to determine whether funding is feasible for a company.
Although Re:cap was founded using an idea based off an existing US start-up, Pipe, it has still secured over €100M of funding in its first year of operating. Currently, Re:cap aims to maximise profitability through its funding services, but in the future the company looks to generate new business models and provide a more curated experience by discussing individualised metrics with businesses to optimise funding options.
