Who you are
- Portfolio showcasing your outcome-driven design expertise
- 8-10 years in product and service design, ideally in B2B high-growth SaaS environments
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration for large-scale projects, meeting business objectives
- Solid understanding of modern web technologies and browser capabilities
- Demonstrated ability in coaching and mentoring designers
- Experience in building and maturing design systems
- Competence in user research methodologies and data-driven design
- Expertise in creating usable, accessible web products (WCAG, ADA compliance)
- Advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion in design and workplace culture

- We are looking for an experienced product designer to join us on our mission to build the next generation of scientific publishing tools
- You are a passionate designer driven by the desire to make a meaningful impact, your curiosity extends to new domains and technologies, with a keen interest in understanding the 'why' behind complex problems
- Committed to supporting our mission of building the universal publishing platform tailored to the needs of publishers, researchers and reviewers
- Your aim is to empower users through informed decisions guided by insights and expertise, ensuring integrity in disseminating peer-reviewed knowledge
- Drive the design vision for our end-to-end publishing engine enhancing customer engagement and lifecycle, using measurable outcomes and delivering platform success
- Employ a user-centric approach to identify and solve key user problems, leveraging data-driven insights and embracing a culture of constant learning and iteration
- Work closely with Product Management, Data, and Engineering teams to optimise user experience through continuous and impactful improvement
- Enhance Morressier’s design maturity by advocating for best practices, mentoring colleagues, and refining our design system to elevate quality and efficiency
Our take
Initially a platform providing an online presence to academic content shared at offline conferences, Morressier has shifted focus over recent years. It now leverages its existing institutional links by creating an end-to-end virtual/hybrid conference management platform.
This served Morressier well when demand for virtual conferences spiked - but the future strength of this demand is by no means a given. Academics are somewhat split on their preferences for conference formats, with the lower attendance fees of online events being weighed up against the lack of in-person networking and engagement. Institutions themselves have cited the high AV costs of event streaming as a reason to stick with the traditional model, too.
Morressier may have wisely covered its back, then, through its additional offering of a complementary publishing platform. This also sets the company apart from virtual event competitors like Hopin and vFairs.
