What the job involves
- This internship offers hands-on experience in influencer marketing, PR strategy, and campaign execution within the beauty industry
- As an Influencer & PR Intern at Then I Met You, you will support key initiatives to enhance brand visibility and build authentic relationships with influencers
- You'll be actively involved in influencer outreach, content management, campaign coordination, and social media engagement
- This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a passionate marketing team and contribute to the growth of a dynamic beauty brand
- During the internship program, participants will be paired with a supervisor who will provide them with on-the-job training and projects

- Influencer Program Support: Manage influencer outreach, assist with packing and shipping mailers, and track content for the evergreen seeding program
- Campaign Coordination: Create content briefs for user-generated content (UGC), seeding campaigns, and paid influencer partnerships
- Research & Talent Scouting: Identify rising talent and influencers aligned with the brand’s aesthetic for collaborations and seasonal activations
- Relationship Management: Assist with influencer communication, ensure partners meet deadlines, review and monitor content, and track campaign performance
- Data & Insights: Organize influencer insights and data, providing analysis to refine future partnerships
- Social Media Engagement: Oversee social media channels, engage with followers, and manage community interactions
- PR & Influencer Lists Maintenance: Update and maintain influencer and PR lists to keep campaigns organized and efficient
- Reporting to: Associate Manager, Marketing Operations & PR
- Program Dates: Approximately 3-6 months; start and end dates are flexible
- Hours: 20 hours per week
Our take
Over the last few years, the Western world has become pretty taken with Korean film & TV, pop music, and “K-Beauty”. Thanks to brands like Dr.Jart+, Peach & Lily, and Soko Glam, Korean beauty products are now accessible and budget-friendly in Western markets.
Soko Glam launched back in 2012 in what was then a fairly cold market, but as the popularity of K-Beauty took hold, the company was well-positioned to grow in tandem. Indeed, co-founder Charlotte Cho is now partly credited with making the 10-step skincare routine as popular as it is today.
Now, it’s one of the most high-profile eCommerce companies in its niche, growing impressively with a small team and relatively little funding. While its position in the US is pretty secure, it’ll be interesting to see how Soko Glam performs on the international market as more local brands emerge in the space.
