Role
Who you are
- 1-2 years of sales, marketing, or social media management experience
- College or university degree/diploma (or have equivalent industry experience)
- Working proficiency in Hootsuite, Salesforce, G Suite Applications, and video conferencing software, or the ability to quickly learn and understand new software
- An aptitude for explaining how solutions work
- Curiosity for how businesses in various industries operate
- Ability to understand and articulate our most common social use cases in marketing, advocacy and service
- Knowledge of Digital Marketing / Social Media Management Solutions
- Clear, concise, and confident presentation skills with a competence in storytelling
- The ability to take complex technical features and explain them to a non-technical audience
- Proven track record of meeting business objectives or defined targets
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Works with others to deliver results, meaningfully contributing to the team and prioritizing group needs over individual needs

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Solutions Consultant (12 month contract) to advise fast-moving organizations on how to achieve their business objectives using social media
- You’ll be working with prospective clients to understand their business needs and guide them on the Hootsuite and Talkwalker solutions that will help them better connect with their audiences
- In line with Hootsuite's distributed workforce strategy, our flexible work arrangement allows for remote work or a hybrid model
- In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Solutions Consultants
- Please note: this is a contract role with a duration of 12 months and an estimated start date of September 8th, 2025
- Partner with our sales team on net new and upsell opportunities, serving as the go-to technical advisor throughout the sales process
- Contribute to personal, sub-regional and regional targets
- Participate in discovery sessions with practitioners and team leaders to uncover key requirements, challenges and opportunities in their organization
- Deliver concise, compelling, value-based presentations and product demos, typically at social media practitioner level
- Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of features and upcoming releases for Hootsuite, Talkwalker, and Partner products by actively attending product councils and learning sessions
- Share learnings from experiences, training and external sources with colleagues in the regional Solutions & Innovation team via regular team meetings and through team collaboration tools
Our take
Hootsuite is a leading social media management platform that’s been around since the early days of this now-ballooning online sector. With over 18 million customers, and used by over four fifths of the Fortune 1000, this giant is hugely competitive in the space.
Thought Hootsuite's plans for an IPO didn't survive the tough economic conditions of 2022 (like many of its peers, the company engaged in several rounds of layoffs), it has since reworked its leadership team to get back on course as the economy recovers.
Just like its acquisition of Sparkcentral saw the company expand into customer service, its more recent purchase of Talkwalker sees it integrate AI into its platform. The combined offering will supply businesses with a social media performance engine to turn insights into action, all fuelled by artificial intelligence.
