Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of professional software development experience with component based web frameworks (React, Next.js, Svelte, Angular, Flutter, and/or Vue)
- Experienced TL for cross platform client & mobile development teams
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong track record of building and shipping production-ready web applications
- Extensive experience shipping cross platform mobile applications with native iOS/Swift (preferred), Java/Kotlin, and/or using frameworks like React Native
- Experience with SwiftUI/Jetpack and building highly optimized mobile experiences
- Experience with Typescript, version control, and building for web accessibility
- Highly collaborative mindset with a focus on enabling team success
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and work across different parts of the stack
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Passionate about shipping
Desirable
- Startup experience
- Extensive experience with native iOS development
- Experience working with gRPCs and protocol buffers
- Experience with Postgres and/or distributed systems
- Experience integrating ML / LLMs and on device AI
What the job involves
- We're seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer to elevate our mobile development efforts. In this role, you'll be a driving force behind our user interface, focusing on delivering a stellar customer experience and shipping new features. You’ll help build a new interaction paradigm for the future of how people discover and buy products they love
- What you’ll do:
- Build useful, fast, and delightful cross platform mobile experiences
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver core Daydream features to users
- Identify and optimize performance issues
- Improve frontend infrastructure, contribute to our component library, and identify other ways of helping the frontend team deliver
- Engage in build, test, and iterate loops on features with the goal of continuously improving Daydream for users
Our take
Daydream leverages generative AI, machine learning and computer vision to enhance the end-to-end shopping journey. Launching in beta this fall, it will feature an extensive fashion catalogue that offers a superhuman search engine to help users effortlessly discover fashion.
Aiming to address the inefficiencies of traditional online shopping, the platform provides an intuitive experience that caters to individuals' preferences. Unlike existing platforms, Daydream is built from scratch to maximize the benefits of AI, ensuring users can find the products they love quickly and easily.
Recent funding will allow Daydream to refine its AI capabilities and grow its brand partnerships. With a team of seasoned industry professionals, the platform is poised to redefine online shopping, offering a cutting-edge solution that meets the evolving needs of modern customers.
