Software Engineer, ZoomInfo

• Required Technical Skills:
• Backend / Data Pipeline: Java, Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, Google Dataflow, Apache Spark, Kafka, PubSub, ETL / Data Pipelines, Big Data Streaming, Batch Processing
• Front-End: Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Cloud: GCP (preferred), AWS (acceptable)
• Demonstrated experience building and operating data pipelines at scale — terabytes, petabytes, or tens of millions of rows
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals with Java and distributed data processing frameworks
• Front-end background with Angular or React; TypeScript and JavaScript proficiency is the key signal. Recent front-end experience is not required
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, with a preference for GCP experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — ability to work effectively across distributed, international teams
• Proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving and cross-functional work
• A foundational understanding of Angular or React, combined with TypeScript and JavaScript proficiency, is sufficient
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Solid experience building and operating data pipelines (ETL/ELT) at scale
• Proficiency in Java
• Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam, Apache Airflow or Spark
• Hands-on experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably GCP (BigQuery, GKE, Dataflow/DataProc)
• Understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data quality practices
• Working experience with modern front-end frameworks, ideally Angular
• Ability to build functional, clean UIs for internal tools, dashboards, and configuration screens
• Comfortable working with REST APIs and integrating front-end with backend services
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to find the right balance between perfection and getting the job done
• Effective communicator who works well in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• Familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar cloud data warehouses
• Exposure to data integration patterns involving CRM systems or email/calendar APIs

• We're looking for a Software Engineer III to join the Contributory Network team within Data Acquisition - one of ZoomInfo's most strategically important initiatives
• The Contributory Network is building the infrastructure that powers a new generation of intelligence products by ingesting, transforming, and processing first-party data contributed by thousands of customers through their CRM, email, and recording provider integrations
• In this role, you'll build the data pipelines that ingest and transform massive volumes of contributed data, as well as contribute to front-end experiences that give internal teams and customers visibility into the platform
• You'll work across the full stack, with a strong emphasis on backend data engineering and a meaningful front-end component
• Design and build data pipelines that ingest, validate, and transform first-party data from customer integrations (CRM systems, email providers, recording platforms)
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for processing contributed contact information, opportunity metadata, and engagement signals at scale
• Build and enhance front-end interfaces for monitoring, configuration, and data quality dashboards using Angular
• Work with streaming and batch processing technologies to handle real-time and scheduled data flows
• Collaborate closely with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Ensure data quality and integrity across the pipeline - from ingestion through enrichment and delivery
• Contribute to observability and monitoring for pipeline health, throughput, and error rates
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Data Quality, Platform, Product) to deliver impactful features
