Role
Who you are
- Technical Expertise: 6+ years of product management experience in AI/ML, data science, or intelligence-related fields.
- Product Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading product development in a startup or growth-stage tech company, ideally as the first product hire, with a proven ability to scale products and processes effectively.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Proficient in translating complex technical solutions into strategic product decisions, with a data-driven approach to product management and a track record of leveraging analytics to drive prioritisation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Skilled in working closely with engineering, machine learning, design, and customer success teams. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a collaborative, agile environment.
- Customer Focus: Strong B2B product management background with a customer-centric approach to solving real client problems through intuitive and impactful products.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to executives, clients, and internal teams effectively.
- Please note, ExTrac provides services to a number of different government clients, some of which specify nationality criteria for individuals seeking security clearance. Given this, we can only consider applications from individuals who hold a passport from the UK, another NATO member state, Australia or New Zealand
Desirable
- Industry Expertise: Experience in threat intelligence, risk analysis, or geopolitical intelligence is highly desirable.
- Advanced Technical Skills: Foundation in machine learning, data analytics, or AI product management, particularly with experience integrating complex ML models into user-facing products.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience building or growing a product team from scratch and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.
- Agile Product Management: Familiarity with agile product development methodologies and experience establishing agile processes in a startup or high-growth environment.
What the job involves
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Working closely with the CEO, develop, refine, and execute the product roadmap, aligning with ExTrac’s strategic objectives and client needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the product, engineering, design, customer success, and research teams to ensure cohesive development cycles and seamless implementation of product initiatives.
- Technical & Data Science Leadership: Apply technical expertise to guide product development, especially in AI/ML model integration, data processing, and analytics.
- Customer-Centric Development: Partner with Customer Success to gather feedback, identify pain points, and integrate user insights into the product development cycle.
- Process Development: Build and formalise the product function from scratch, creating agile processes, roadmapping systems, and prioritisation frameworks. Establish metrics to track product success, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
- Team Building: Develop and grow a high-performing product team as ExTrac scales. Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
