Who you are
- 6+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media strategy, ideally in energy, mobility, infrastructure, or tech sectors
- Strong track record managing PR agencies and delivering results across multiple European markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English - other languages (Portuguese, Spanish, Polish) are a plus
- Deep understanding of the French media landscape, especially the financial and business press
- Strategic thinker who’s also hands-on - able to switch between shaping narrative and driving day-to-day execution
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Proven ability to build and execute communications strategies across diverse markets and audiences
What the job involves
- As we scale our infrastructure and brand, we are seeking a Comms Lead to lead our communications strategy across all markets
- You will own Powerdot’s PR strategy, coordinating local agencies and securing highimpact coverage that supports our commercial, strategic, and reputational goals
- Based in France, you will also lead our local media presence, particularly with business and financial press, helping to position Powerdot as a leading private player in the energy and mobility transition
- Develop and execute Powerdot’s PR and communications strategy across all active markets
- Coordinate and manage our network of local PR agencies, aligning messaging and ensuring a unified public narrative
- Proactively pitch stories, secure interviews, and manage media relations with key national, financial, and trade outlets across Europe
- Draft press releases, opinion articles, talking points, and media kits, in partnership with internal stakeholders
- Provide communications support for executive leadership, including media training and public appearances
- Ensure consistent measurement and reporting on PR performance, influence, and brand impact
- Support product launches, strategic partnerships, and key events with tailored media activation plans
- Stay ahead of news cycles and trends relevant to Powerdot’s sector, positioning the brand as a thought leader
Our take
As an investor, installer and operator of EV chargers, Powerdot has become the largest independent charger operator in Portugal. Its business model involves not only installing EV chargers but maintaining and managing the charging stations too. Having launched in Portugal, it has now grown to have a presence in Spain, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Poland.
What stands Powerdot out from the crowd is its unique business model of partnering with retail space owners at no cost to the latter and with revenue sharing as part of the deal. This value proposition incentivises landowners to install the charging stations on their properties and spaces. Its charging stations are located in shopping malls, gas stations, business centres and municipalities.
The company’s steady growth has been accelerated by 2024 investment from Societe Generale and BNP Paribas, whilst long-term investment has come from Antin Infrastructure Partners. With healthy capital behind it, Powerdot plans to further expand across Europe and become the continent's leading EV operator.
