Who you are
- This role is ideal for a candidate who exhibits a strong understanding of the gaming/UGC ecosystem and a willingness to chase down problems and drive impact
- Proven experience in a role with a focus on Product Management and Games
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
- Is able take ambiguous problems and return with product solutions
- Full-stack web development experience, preferably with Nextjs and Postgres expertise
- Other Tech Stack wants: Deep SQL experience, .NET, python, and experience writing public API endpoints that can handle high volume traffic
- Has taken an application from concept to working service, ideally supporting at least 1-2 customers
- Prior experience at a technology-focused company, ideally in a role involving client-facing responsibilities
- Experience working on internal tooling and CMS applications
What the job involves
- Product Management partners with game development, publishing, marketing, and platform teams to provide a data and market-driven view of product strategy that aligns with business goals
- As part of Epic’s Growth Team, we use our product expertise to identify and drive growth levers to grow our player base and business
- We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Senior Technical Product Manager (TPM) to join the Discover team
- The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our product development efforts, particularly our Discover strategy, tooling, and experimentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine product requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex products from conception through launch
- Translate technical concepts into actionable, user-friendly products and features
- Drive projects with a hands-on approach, ensuring deadlines are met and goals are achieved
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams to maintain project momentum
- Conduct experiments and A/B tests to evaluate and rapidly drive impact
- Prioritizes reusability and leverages expertise in web development to significantly increment our tooling for serving content to players

Epic's Unreal Engine technology brings high-fidelity, interactive experiences to PC, console, mobile, AR, VR and the Web. Its recent announcement - Unreal Engine 5 - is set to lay the technical foundations for countless future releases.
Epic Games' model focuses on two key areas: creating games and offering its game engine technology to other developers. Doing this means that Epic Games' brand stretches beyond their own direct creations. The company has been able to put its name to some of the most iconic games of the last 20 years. Its most recent success is undoubtedly the creation of Fortnite, which has gained hundreds of millions of users since its launch in 2017.
Long-established as one of the leaders in their field, these are undoubtedly exciting times for Epic Games. The release of next-generation consoles like the PS5 has enabled Epic Games to push the limits of their software, meaning it'll lead the charge in the creation of next-gen games. 2024 saw an unprecedented investment in Epic Games by Disney, amounting to $1.5 billion. This will enable Disney to promote iconic characters through the Fortnite game. With the number of people enjoying video games continuing to grow, there is no sign of Epic Games slowing down any time soon.
