Who you are
- 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or related fields
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualifications
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrable experience in succeeding in fast-paced, KPI driven sales environment
- Demonstrated experience in nurturing, negotiating, renewing, and closing sales (required)
- Excellent experience in customer service and relationship building
- Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Leasing Associate to be responsible for driving the revenue and occupancy success of a portfolio of small offices
- This will include owning the full sales cycle by renewing existing members as well as closing new business
- Act as the owner of the commercial success of your portfolio, working with your colleagues on the Community team and the wider sales team
- Build an understanding of the local sub-market, assets, product and key stakeholders required for successful deal execution
- Build a deep understanding of WeWork’s value proposition for the segment
- Drive revenue and occupancy by nurturing, developing, and closing new business and renewal opportunities in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Maintain our CRM to ensure you are showing an accurate view of your pipeline
- Execute strategy and process implemented by Sales leaders and Operations
- Be a positive WeWork brand ambassador and confidently communicate our value proposition to members
Our take
WeWork is a commercial real estate company that pioneered the shared workspace market, providing spaces for anyone from freelancers to Fortune 500s. Traditional leases typically require businesses to commit to an office for 5-10 years, whilst WeWork allows its members to scale up from a single hot desk to a private office or custom-built suite, depending on their needs.
WeWork has hundreds of locations across the globe, with hundreds of thousands of members. While its initial rapid growth and dominance in key global hubs was impressive, it has since had to scale back and strategically re-align itself in an unstable economic climate.
There is certainly still potential for WeWork to see renewed growth and success, especially as remote and hybrid working continues to be popular. That said, observers will have to wait to see the eventual affect of its restructuring - and only time will tell what the company's future looks like.
