- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; MS/MBA preferred
- 5+ years of Technical program management in Software, Embedded, Semiconductor, or AI domains
- Strong understanding of hardware/software co-design principles, and experience working with cross-functional teams of developers, test, and Field-Application-Engineering
- Exceptional Program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple programs, prioritize tasks, influence teams and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex technical concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
- Strong experience and devising metrics, roadmaps, dashboards and preparing executive level presentations
- Experience with project & program management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA)
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project/program management certifications are a plus

- Tenstorrent is a dynamic startup at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Compute (HPC) innovations. We're on a mission to revolutionize the landscape of AI hardware, software, and RISC-V compute
- Lead and Manage Programs: Drive and manage end-to-end projects involving the design, development, and deployment of AI chip cards, high-performance workstations, and scalable servers within datacenter environments
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams, product management, operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on technical specifications, project goals, and deliverables
- Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical guidance on AI chip architectures, interconnects, memory hierarchies, and thermal management to optimize performance and efficiency in datacenter deployments
- Cross-functional Program owner for Cards & Systems portfolio
- Execute across PCB Hardware, Systems FW, Software, Compliance, etc
- Drive schedules, launch readiness, risks, customer features, etc with Product team
- Leadership briefings, Productization, Engineering efficiency
- Define and track clear goals, priorities, and milestones, ensuring alignment with overall Tenstorrent’s corporate goals
- Provide Programmatic guidance, mentorship, and foster a culture of execution within SW teams
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies
- Own the product road map from end to end
Our take
Advances in artificial intelligence apps, combined with a global chip shortage, are strong tailwinds for chip processor Tenstorrent. The semi-conducter developer is designing specialized chips for running artificial intelligence applications, building chips for what it calls "software 2.0".
The company’s unique approach is to build for this future software, which it believes will be written at a higher level. Combining this with conditional computing, Tenstorrent supports a scalable distributed network approach that is analogous to a human brain.
While the market for specialised AI hardware is destined to be gigantic, the company has to compete with a plethora of hopeful startups (as well as major tech companies like NVIDIA and Qualcomm). That said, Tenstorrent boasts an excellent trajectory so far, with its latest moves including unveiling its high-end Wormhole AI processors, and a partnership with LG which will see the development of chips for "Affectionate Intelligence".
