Who you are
- You’re an experienced Social Media Lead, ideally with a background in a fast-paced DTC, beauty, or wellness brand
- You back your ideas with data and always look for ways to measure, test, and improve
- You can balance creativity with commercial impact
- You live and breathe social media and have an instinctive understanding of platform nuances and trends - especially TikTok, Instagram, and emerging channels
- You’re a team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment and knows how to influence without ego
- You’re comfortable managing multiple projects with tight deadlines, adapting quickly and staying calm under pressure
- You care deeply about tone, aesthetics, and brand integrity, and know how to translate that into meaningful social presence
- You’re confident managing people, inspiring your team, and helping others do their best work
What the job involves
- We're looking for an experienced and strategic Social Media Lead to head up our organic social media function across all + Me brands
- You’ll play a key role in shaping the voice of Skin + Me across our social platforms, driving engagement, growing our community, and ensuring we show up with creativity, relevance, and purpose every day
- This is a hybrid working role with three days a week in our Paddington HQ (Mon,Tues,Fri) and two days remote
- Own and evolve a platform-specific social strategy that drives organic growth, community connection, and long-term brand equity
- Use data and insights to continuously optimise content, engagement, and growth strategies
- Line-manage our team of 2 Social & Content Executives and oversee the broader Community Team
- Lead the planning and briefing of engaging, social-first content with support from our creative and copy teams
- Ensure consistent brand tone of voice, messaging, and visual identity across platforms
- Plan and execute brand-led and reactive social campaigns, including product launches and key calendar moments via collaboration with internal teams across broader brand, performance, and CRM
- Manage community guidelines and tone, ensuring brand values are upheld at all times
- Develop and implement a UGC strategy that taps into real customer advocacy and builds pipelines for content featuring real customers
- Keep up with emerging trends, platform updates, and audience behaviours
- Support the business in navigating brand reputation issues on social, handling community feedback and escalation with professionalism

Back in 2018, Skin + Me's founders identified a huge problem in the world of skincare: people don’t just struggle with their skin – they struggle with how they’re supposed to deal with it. With no truly effective solutions available, the company set out to build a pioneering online dermatology service that provides personalised skincare.
Skin + Me takes customers through a simple online medical consultation and work with dermatologists to prescribe a treatment, personalised to the individual. Part of the company's unique selling point is that its made-to-order formulation arrives through a subscription box each month and comes in a ‘Daily Doser’ – a specially designed bottle that dispenses the exact amount of the product needed for daily application.
Skin + Me is supported by a team of dermatologists, pharmacists and direct-to-consumer experts, which allows it to deliver across the business - from skin science to building the technology platform behind it. The company's growth plans include continual development of its services while ensuring it sticks to its ethos: providing desired, effective, and personalised skincare.
