Role
Who you are
- Manager experience in HR/People & Culture roles
- A track record in establishing HR/People & Culture programmes and policies to support delivering company visions and supporting values
- Experience at working alongside senior leaders and influencing strategic decisions
- Have significant experience managing employee relations issues
- Have demonstrable experience in a commercial or profit-making environment
- Have led a team of HR professionals, demonstrating leadership and business management skills
- Be a self-starter
- You are passionate about sustainability and want to make an impact to halt the climate crisis
What the job involves
- In this newly created role, based in Amsterdam, you will lead the People & Culture function and a small team in a remote first sustainability (climate impact verification) scale up
- You will report into the CEO
- As the function leader, you will have responsibility and drive to build a strong, highly collaborative culture that attracts and retains industry leading talent
- You will play a key role in ensuring that our vision and values are brought to life across the organisation, supporting a positive and high performing organisational culture, enabling organisation development and maximising the effectiveness of our people
- You will be a People generalist who is able to provide strategic and operational expertise to the CEO, leadership team and managers across the business
- You have a small team for support to execute and manage operational and administrative tasks, however this is a hands on role in a start-up!
- Develop and implement an integrated People & Culture plan across the organisation
- Provide strategic leadership across the organisation on all People-related issues
- Develop succession planning strategy and models for the organisation, working closely with the Management Team to implement
- Responsible for all People activity throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, policies and processes, systems, absence management and offboarding
- Oversee employment relations and mitigate risks
- Ensure that all People policies and activities comply with appropriate legislative requirements and best practice
- Embed an effective performance management culture and processes, and ensure they are used consistently throughout the organisation
- Drive a culture of high performance within the organisation through the setting of clear responsibilities and accountabilities and ensuring that appropriate performance reviews occur on a regular basis
- Support staff wellbeing and establishappropriate programmes
- Build learning & development focus, including the development and delivery of programmes to improve and enhance management and leadership capabilities across the organisation
- Leadership of bi-annual engagement survey issue, insights & follow-up
- Track, report & drive progress across key KPIs – employee turnover, voluntary leavers, eNPS
- Attend all relevant colleague meetings, supervisions, etc
- Fulfil any other such duties as required in line with business needs
