What the job involves

The Indirect Tax Accountant will be responsible for performing activities related to indirect and withholding tax compliance and ensure ongoing tax obligations are met
Prior to the Global Finance Transformation Go-Live you will support the project team with testing, data clean up and implementation
Support the preparation and processing of VAT / GST calculations and filings using ONESOURCE, Indirect Determination, and S/4 Hana
Support the configuration and testing of ONESOURCE Indirect Compliance across multiple regions in preparation for go-live
Analyse transactions for indirect tax implications and risks to be recognized
Prepare and process tax forms, including VAT calculations and filing payments to tax authorities
Assist in developing and maintaining tax compliance calendar to track the timely reporting of all indirect tax returns
Prepare other tax reporting schedules, as needed
Verify documentation and prepare filings for withholding tax, as well any other local taxes as required
Ensure applicable GL (General Leger) accounts are reconciled to the appropriate tax reports and payments
File and archive original documentation
Ensure timely responses to inquiries from tax authorities
Assist in internal and external audits as required
Identify ideas for process improvement utilizing leading industry practices
Collaborate with Indirect Tax Managers and Direct Tax colleagues
Support updates to tax localization tools that standardize documents for desktop procedures by participating in workshop interviews, job shadowing, and developing reference guides
