Role
Who you are
- Knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies
- A clear desire to mentor and support other developers to encourage their professional development and provide active guidance to help them achieve their goals
- Extensive professional experience within an iOS development role including app distribution
- Proven experience within Swift including state management, and build time configuration
- Ability to identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs. Lead the maintenance of quality and organisation of the codebase
- Applied knowledge of moderns design patterns such as MVP, MVVM, VIPER and SOLID principles
- Awareness of performance considerations such as cross-device and size compatibility, components, configuration driven UI, and load-time optimisations
- Advanced knowledge of Git
- Ensuring stability and monitoring of the CI/CD infrastructure using Fastlane
- Experience writing unit tests using the XCTest framework
- Knowledge of GraphQL
Desirable
- Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
- Genuine interest in app-commerce
- Familiarity with building retail e-commerce applications, particularly Shopify
What the job involves
- You will work closely with our design and operations teams to assist building our native mobile app that looks and feels sensational
- Collaborate in the design, development, deployment and support of mobile initiatives by:
- Accurately size and scope new features for estimating and delivering features
- Develop user interfaces using SwiftUI and UIKit, ensuring optimal user experience across various iOS devices
- Apply SOLID principles to write clean, modular, and reusable code
- Manage app signing and distribution processes, including provisioning profiles and certificates
- Utilise Fastlane to streamline the build, testing, and deployment processes
- Mentor and teach your team in a positive, proactive, Agile manner with particular attention to junior developers
- Review code and provide guidance for other code reviewers participating in our release approval process by following and upholding best practices and coding standards across the entire team
- Though primarily focused on iOS, you’ll also collaborate with Android and full-stack teams to solve regressions and/or bridge feature parity gaps

With people spending more and more time on their mobiles, there has been a shift from purchasing from websites to purchasing from apps. eCommerce stores need to follow this shift if they wish to maximise sales. However, many businesses do not have the in-house expertise to launch such applications, shutting down this opportunity to reach a wider audience. StoreLab supplies no-code app development for eCommerce companies, to launch mobile shopping experiences, transform their business and stay ahead of the competition.
Until recently, developing a mobile app for eCommerce was a tedious or costly undertaking, but StoreLab’s no-code app development has brought this into reach for companies of any scale. The process is quick, relying on customisable templates that are easy for anyone to use. Importantly, StoreLab apps provide engaging mobile shopping experiences that are more likely to result in sales and repeat customers, compared with when users use websites on mobile, which can be tedious and annoying.
StoreLab is positioned well to capitalise on the shift to eCommerce applications, operating in a space that provides lots of room to grow, as the majority of online stores have not yet launched mobile apps. As a young company at its seed funding stages, its primary focus appears to be on product development and securing early clients.
