Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 1-2 years of Accounting, Audit or Tax experience
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications; Excel is required (pivot tables, v-look ups, etc.)
- Big 4 accounting experience is a plus but not required
- Strong ability to multitask competing priorities
- Knowledge of NetSuite ERP, FloQast and Ramp systems is a plus
- Must be a proactive & highly organized self-starter with excellent communication / collaboration skills
What the job involves
- Assist the Assistant Controller with month-end closing and the annual audit
- They will also support the accounts receivable function and be a major contributor to various projects
- We are also looking for someone that works well cross functionally with other departments and stakeholders both inside and outside the organization
- Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized, and will thus have the opportunity to own many processes across the Finance team
- Record cash receipts, prepare bank reconciliations
- Maintain and update rollforward schedules
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support schedules for monthly closing of the books
- Manage designated client accounts with the proper invoicing within standard policies reflective of company and client requirements, while assuring timely and accurate collections
- Assist with ongoing and new projects including implementations

After acquiring competing patient finance streamlining service OODA Health in 2021, Cedar has gone on to capture even more success. The company has netted substantial funds on top of the launch of its Payer Intelligence Layer, which allows it to integrate data from insurers and providers to create a single source of information. It was also endorsed by the Montana Hospital Association's shared services division MHA Ventures (MHAV), to be listed as its only preferred patient financial engagement technology, all boding well for its performance into the future.

Arel began their career as a technology associate at Bridgewater Associates, working on trading systems for the world’s largest hedge fund. Florian also founded a daily deal company in Brazil (ClubeUrbano) that was eventually acquired by Groupon. After the acquisition, he became Chief Executive Officer of Groupon Brazil. Florian began their business career as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company within their healthcare practice. Florian holds a M.D., D.D.S. and PhD from the University of Freiburg, Germany.
