What the job involves
- The Business Development Representative role gives you a great opportunity to get started at a truly global organization
- Business Development is a critical component of the sales organization at QA/Cloud Academy/Circus Street
- As the "tip of the spear," you will open new sales conversations and create sales opportunities for our Account Executives
- You will be on the front lines of our business and as such, you must be comfortable cold calling, talking to strangers, communicating our value proposition, and building our sales pipeline!
- Cold outbound calls and emails to prospective customers
- Schedule initial discovery/qualifications calls with prospective customers
- Communicating with Account Executives for success (i.e. insights and intelligence about prospective customers) in a timely fashion
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to help inform Demand Generation
- Assist Account Executives with pipeline management and prospect nurturing when appropriate/necessary

QA (formerly Cloud Academy) wants to confront the stance that everything will one day be machine operated, it claims human initiative and intuition is still and will be important in all aspects of computer software development. The company sets out to tackle this issue and create structured learning for companies in all cloud technologies - Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform to name a few.
Efficiency in companies is key and we’re all aware that cloud platforms are constantly evolving. This can lead to employees being caught out and lack the most updated training, hindering the confidence of the employee and the productivity of the company. QA fills in the gaps and works with both the “students” in mind but also to help increase performance for the company through tech insights. It also goes on to offer well designed programmes for each company to develop with the skills their specific team needs.
There is a boom for online training courses and so an opportunistic time for QA. The importance of employee health and nurture is fundamental in companies nowadays so the demand for support like QA is only rising. Its a well established company now with a healthy roster of clients such as Regeneron and AXA, it’ll be interesting to see how it stays relevant as it faces the challenges of the ever updating technology and need for human operators.
