Role
Who you are
- You have proven experience (5+ years) building and maintaining full stack applications in a product-led SaaS environment
- You have solid experience with two or more of React (TypeScript), Go (Golang), and DevOps (AWS), and are comfortable working across the stack when needed
- You have a strong understanding of modern software development practices, including testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- You have experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches)
- You are comfortable collaborating in cross-functional teams that include product, design, and QA
- You care deeply about accessibility, performance, and user experience
- You have excellent communication skills and can explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues
Desirable
- You may have experience developing hybrid mobile applications using Capacitor or similar frameworks
What the job involves
- Design, build, and maintain front-end and back-end features across our web and mobile platforms using React, Go, PostgreSQL, and Capacitor
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with an emphasis on performance, security, and accessibility
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our hybrid mobile apps, ensuring consistency and performance across devices
- Collaborating with product, design, and QA to plan, scope, and deliver high-impact product features
- Support and evolve DevOps workflows on AWS, including deployment pipelines, monitoring, and infrastructure automation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Review code, contribute to technical discussions, and help drive continuous improvement in our engineering practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, supporting our focus on reliability and user trust
- Contribute to architectural decisions, documentation, and the evolution of our technology stack
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure smooth delivery, alignment, and a consistent user experience across product areas

Our take
Wellness and organisation apps are a dime a dozen, but ones focused specifically on the well-being and practicalities of living with a learning difficulty are far fewer. Booost Education melds mental health support, diary and workload management, and routine building features into one platform.
With a team of disability needs assessors and UX designers behind the app, Booost is backed by founders with a solid understanding of what neurodiverse students need to help them succeed in the study. The product is currently live and available, both for UK students receiving the Disabled Students Allowance grant and for individuals, schools, colleges and universities.
Whilst apps such as Asana and Epic Win dominate the American market, there appears to be space for Booost in the UK software industry. That being said, Booost should partner with universities and DSA governing bodies to make sure it reaches as much of its target audience as possible, who must be convinced to use it regularly for it to make the biggest difference.
