Who you are
- If you’re ambitious, have strong engineering fundamentals, and want to grow as a software engineer while learning from experienced mentors in a high-impact startup environment, this role is for you
- Taktile is a hybrid company that requires working 3 days/week from our Berlin HQ in Germany
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential as we operate in a remote environment requiring clear and effective communication
- Strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for simplicity and precision
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree at Hasso Plattner Institut (HPI)
- Solid Computer Science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, networking, distributed systems, databases, and everything in between
- We're looking for someone who will add to our culture, not just fit within it

- Exposure to AWS, especially Lambda

- Work on backend components written in Python / FastAPI, hosted on an AWS serverless architecture, or contribute to React/Typescript front-end components - or both!

Our take
Taktile’s goal is to enable financial services enterprises to adopt machine learning (ML) technology and deliver ML applications. Whilst ML may seem old news, these businesses have been slow to adopt it due to a shortage of expertise, IT resources and regulatory freedom.
