Driven by the fundamental goal of revolutionising how skiing and other skill-based sports are taught, Carv was launched following a Kickstarter campaign breaking the sports wearables funding record. The company does this through AI-driven data analysis, curated expert content, high-tech hardware, and live audio instruction.
Its approach of providing digital coaching has allowed Carv to grow exponentially - unlike the more linear model of traditional coaching approaches. Further, unlike one-on-one coaching, users can get a precise breakdown of their technique in the dedicated app, as well as live coaching through headphones.
This has led to Carv doubling its user base yearly, and it will soon have given more hours of coaching than almost every ski resort. It aims to continue this growth by improving the seamless nature of its coaching, hone its Ski:IQ digital system and develop more ground-breaking wearable technology to apply to other sports.
