Role
Who you are
- Experience in designing and implementing large scale systems with big datasets for real-time decision making
- Very deep understanding & proven experience of JVM-based technologies
- Knowledge of "Infrastructure as code" and containerization
- Experience with complex microservices architecture, event-driven topologies, and their observability
- Practical experience with Design Patterns, Design Principles, Software Architecture and Algorithms, and automated tests (unit, integration, and functional)
- Strong belief in lean and agile development
- Experience with Kafka Streaming, Apache Storm, or Spark Streaming is a plus

- We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our Risk tribe in FinTech department and build the global innovative Fraud Prevention and Financial Risk Management solutions with us
- Build global innovative financial risk management solutions with strong focus on reliability and scalability
- Set standards for Engineering excellence, assist tribe/domain leads in setting the technical vision and strategy
- Enable visibility of our system’s KPIs through meaningful metrics, dashboards, and alerts
- Design and implement cutting-edge applications that will transform the fintech services in the delivery industry
- Craft and maintain world-class, high traffic services and APIs
- Be an active partner for Engineering leadership and Product Management

Until relatively recently, delivery services were out of the question for many local restaurants and businesses due to high costs and logistical complexity. Delivery Hero solves this problem by enabling fast and flexible delivery for restaurants, takeaways, and grocery stores.
Since its founding in 2008, Delivery Hero has grown into one of the world's biggest online delivery platforms, alongside rivals Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat. Delivery Hero operates in over 70 countries, and owns a number of other big-name brands, such as Asian delivery giant Foodpanda.
Delivery Hero owes much of its success to its impressive adaptability, having branched out into new markets such as quick commerce. As with many of its peers, the company has had to grapple with the effects of the 2023 economic situation, cutting jobs in Taiwan, Berlin and Turkey at the end of that year. However, it has remained steadfast in its goal to increase efficiency throughout the organization and move ahead with "ambitious plans" for the coming years.
