Role
Who you are
- 12+ years of experience in product marketing and/or product management
- 5+ years of experience managing a team; proven success developing and retaining top talent
- Experience in enterprise security with the ability to act as a subject matter expert (SME). Extra consideration given to candidates with cloud, SaaS, or subscription experience
- Experience in developing cohesive GTM plans, as well as a wide range of assets that drive market interest and adoption
- Experience working and leading cross-functionally; proven ability to build positive relationships, influence within/outside areas of control, and set/communicate a clear vision that delivers results
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting and/or demoing externally preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment
- Really good sense of humor

- This role requires someone who can engage constructively with Product Management, who can lead the strategic product marketing function, but also be hands-on in the creation of product marketing deliverables
What the job involves
- As the Senior Director of Product Marketing, you will oversee all facets of product marketing and will have a significant impact on growing the business. This high-impact role reports to the chief marketing officer, and is a key member of the marketing leadership team. This is a highly visible position that will interact at all levels of the company and represent Noname to customers, partners, analysts and media
- Develop/evolve the value proposition, positioning, messaging, packaging, and pricing for our growing portfolio of products
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the target customer/persona, customer needs, key use cases, and the capabilities of the Noname Platform
- Be the expert on target buyers, market trends, and competitive offerings across the cybersecurity landscape and how this intersects with our offerings
- Drive the planning and launch of new offerings, capabilities and releases and participate in managing the cross-functional implementation of those plans
- Work closely with the sales enablement team to ensure the value proposition, assets, training, support structures, and incentive plans are all in place for a strong sales motion in line with our platform and ecosystem capabilities
- Develop core product content including pitch decks, product collateral, launch materials, etc
- Serve as a spokesperson for Noname Security to customers, partners, analysts, media, and other key stakeholders
Our take
Noname utilizes an AI and machine learning platform to provide companies with the ability to see and secure managed and unmanaged APIs exposed by the organization, consumed by the organization, or used internally. This helps remove the blindspots and flaws which often go unnoticed for years and pose enormous security threats.
Since emerging from stealth in 2020, Noname has raised healthy doses of investments which are being put to use with the acceleration of R&D and rapid expansion of sales and marketing teams. API security is a hot topic for investors right now with Noname competitors 42Crunch and Salt Security also raising significant funds. Noname, however, claims to be the first API unicorn after reaching a $1 billion valuation in 2021.
Noname believes it came to the market at just the right time with fully realized technology to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity due to the surging volume of APIs and complexity of modern applications. It continues to expand its platform and add depth to its products in 2023.
