Role
Who you are
- You’re a detail-oriented communicator with a passion for content and mental well-being. You enjoy working in a fast-moving, international team and have an eye for what makes content good
- You are a native German speaker (fluency in English required, French is a plus but not a must)
- You have strong writing and editing skills with an affinity for clear, engaging messaging
- You have a keen eye for detail, spotting inconsistencies, and formatting issues while precisely following content guidelines and brand ToV
- You are available for a minimum of 4 days per week, preferably (partly) working from our Amsterdam office
- You are organised, self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn!
What the job involves
- At the heart of OpenUp, you’ll find the Content & Learning team, responsible for creating and facilitating all self-guided materials, masterclasses, and group sessions
- We ensure that our content is engaging, impactful, and tailored to our core markets – including the DACH market (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). And that’s where we need you!
- As a Content Intern, you’ll play a key role in bringing our German content to life
- Translating and localising articles, newsletters, and other materials to ensure they resonate with our German-speaking audience
- Supporting the DE Content Specialist in researching, editing, and publishing content
- Helping optimise content for readability, clarity, consistency and engagement
- Contributing creative ideas to improve and expand our content offering
Our take
Therapy and consultations are invaluable resources for helping people manage their mental health, but accessing such services is not easy. Long waiting lists, strict assessments, and other time-consuming bureaucratic present significant challenges, and this can often dishearten or even prevent someone from receiving the care they need.
OpenUp provides low-threshold mental health services, offering consultations, coaching, and other programs for both individuals and workforces. The company's application process has been designed to be as simple and undemanding of the client as possible, aiming to eradicate the usual challenges faced when applying and ultimately increasing access to mental health care.
There are many startups providing mental health service marketplaces, AI-driven therapy, and other innovative tools but OpenUp has stuck with a more traditional approach. Instead it has innovated upon the way users apply for the services, aiming to remove as much bureaucratic friction as possible for their clients.
So far this approach has met with success, and OpenUp has grown a client base of over 850 companies including the likes of McDonalds, Deloitte and Decathlon. Having raised significant funding, most recently in late 2022, OpenUp is expanding its services across Europe, focusing on Spain, France and the UK.
