Role
Who you are
- Our expectation is that you have extensive experience with Python, Java and proficiency in SQL
- Additionally, working with data warehouse technologies, and with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau and dimensional data modelling for analytics / big data infrastructures would make you an ideal candidate for the role
- Experience working with orchestration systems such as airflow working with dbt will equally be essential for this role
What the job involves
- As a Senior Analytics Engineer, your day-to-day work will include building easy to understand and consistently modelled datasets to serve metrics, dashboards and exploratory analysis; including building data transformation pipelines, primarily by using SQL and Python in dbt, and Airflow infrastructure
- At M-KOPA, you will be working in a small 3 or 4 person team role focused on Dimensional Data modelling, Data Engineering, Business and Product Optimization, Cloud Platform Utilization and Data Management
- You will collaborate primarily with cross-functional product and engineering teams with some additional internal business units to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver data-driven recommendations
- For us applying best practices is important in order to build reliable, well tested, efficient, documented data assets
- This is a fully remote role, you would be working within the following time zone (UTC -1 / UTC+3) with a diverse group of other employees working remotely from locations such as UK, Europe and Africa
- You will be reporting to the Analytics Engineering Team Lead
