Role
Who you are
- Solid software engineering fundamentals: You understand the full SDLC, testing practices, and modern frameworks
- Production deployment experience: You can take code from development to production using cloud environments, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with agentic systems: You've worked with or are excited to learn about chat interfaces, tool use, workflows, evaluations, agent-to-agent communication, and protocols like MCP
- Product mindset: You focus on outcomes over outputs, iterate quickly, and always think about delivering value
- Curiosity and adaptability: The AI Engineer role is still evolving, and you're excited to grow with it

What the job involves
- We're looking for AI Engineers to help build the next generation of intelligent systems that help our clients understand and leverage their data
- Work on cutting-edge technology at the intersection of AI and data analytics
- As an AI Engineer at Intent HQ, you'll bridge the gap between software engineering and AI—building agentic systems, tools, and workflows that turn cutting-edge AI capabilities into reliable, production-ready products
- This is a hands-on role where you'll work end-to-end: from designing and prototyping features to deploying and iterating on them in production
- You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship user-facing functionality that delivers real value to our clients
- Build reliable, scalable agentic software systems that solve real client problems
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and deployment processes
- Work end-to-end on features, from initial design and prototyping through to production deployment and ongoing iteration
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to ship intuitive, user-facing functionality
- Apply engineering best practices to ensure performance, consistency, and maintainability across all systems
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing with the team

- You'll work with a variety of modern technologies, including:
- Agent Development:
- Google ADK, Mastra, MCP (Model Context Protocol), Agent-to-Agent frameworks
- Frontend:
- TypeScript, React & Redux, Next.js
- Modern styling with Shadcn, Material UI, and Tailwind CSS
- Backend & APIs:
- Python and Node.js for APIs and agents
- Databricks for data storage and ML platform
- Infrastructure:
- AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
- We'd love it if you have experience with some of our tech stack, but don't let that stop you from applying! Anyone can learn new technologies, and we're looking for strong fundamentals and the right mindset

Big businesses collect billions of customer data points including purchases, locations, page views, and phone calls - but most of this data isn't very useful on its own. On top of this, most businesses don’t have the ability to easily combine such diverse data, let alone make sense of it in real-time.
Intent HQ aims to solve this problem with it's privacy-first Customer Intelligence Platform created for Service Providers to manage their user data. Enabling 1-to-1 personalisation at scale, it empowers deep understanding of customers from data, making that data actionable and valuable.
Intent HQ's unique selling point is that it uses cutting-edge AI to fuel this understanding of customers. In fact, it has the ability to rank and quantify someone’s interests with such granularity that it knows, for example, that a person prefers a brand over another brand by a factor of 0.3.
According to Jonathan Lakin, Intent HQ's CEO, the end result of this interest-driven insight is marketing that is more relevant, personal and effective. A merger with Anagog, an edge AI customer engagement platform, will enable Intent HQ to leverage the powers of generative AI to provide even more relevant and personalised interactions.
