What the job involves
- We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and implement our Zapier MCP product strategy
- This role sits at the critical intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and enterprise-level orchestration
- You'll work directly with technical customers, shape our product roadmap, and ensure we're building solutions that are both innovative and trustworthy
- You’ll report to Lisa Chapello, Head of AI Platform
- Lead MCP product development: Define and execute the product roadmap for Zapier's MCP Server, enabling third-party AI agents to seamlessly connect with Zapier's ecosystem of 8,000+ apps
- Interface with technical customers: Work directly with developers, AI companies, and enterprise customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and prioritize features that drive adoption and satisfaction
- Monitor the competitive landscape and emerging standards to keep Zapier at the forefront of the MCP ecosystem
- Enhance the developer experience: Seek out opportunities to help third-party developers more quickly integrate & succeed with Zapier's platform
- Prioritize for performance and growth: Define success metrics for your products’ performance and customer satisfaction. Use data to identify optimization opportunities and guide product improvements
- Shape AI orchestration: Consult on Zapier's approach to enterprise orchestration in the AI era, working with other product teams to establish patterns that spur innovation with appropriate guardrails

Even before remote working became the "in thing", freelancers, small business owners, and large organisations have found themselves needing more and more software platforms to serve their operational needs. As people used more software services, Zapier founders saw the need to connect the actions between these software and save everyone some time.
Zapier is the largest integration and automation tool for businesses. Since its founding, Zapier has grown its suite of automation offerings across almost every mainstream software service. The company is one of the most successful to come out of Y Combinator and has also been a pioneer of remote working.
Zapier has so far been able to capitalise heavily on its advantage as one of the first entrants and has had very little actual competition. Software services aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and organisations are only going to need more of them. This puts Zapier in a strong position for growth, but also opens up room for bolder companies to get in on the action. Companies like Airtable and Integromat are already preying on more niche segments of Zapier's market share.
