Data Analyst, Ember

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, ThoughtSpot etc. (We use a tool called Omni.)
• SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with team members at all levels
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analysing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units

• You will be joining the Analytics team, a critical component of our operation at Ember. This team is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data that will drive strategic business decisions
• Our Analytics team plays a crucial role in understanding the user behavior, tracking key performance metrics, and delivering insights that directly impact the company's growth and development.
• Their duties often include designing and implementing dashboards, conducting complex data analysis, and presenting findings to the team and stakeholders in a comprehensible manner
• Working closely with all parts of the organization, including Growth, CX, Product, and Operations, this team provides the data and insights that guide our product enhancements, marketing strategies, and customer engagement initiatives.
• Their work ensures that our business decisions are data-led and focused on improving the user experience and achieving our business goals
• You will report into our Lead Analytics Engineer
• Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and devise possible solutions
• Develop and implement data collection/creation practises and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality
• Create data models that help to increase and optimise customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and report key findings to make business decisions
• Be the subject matter expert on the entities, events and metrics that make up Ember
• Train other employees in how to self-serve their data needs in our BI tool (Omni)
