Who you are
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Pursuing or completion of a CPA designation
- 1-2+ years of hands-on accounting & finance experience
- You are hungry for a well-rounded role that pushes the conventional “accountant” stereotype while still maintaining some hands-on, transactional-level, accounting responsibilities
- Experience with revenue recognition and corresponding accounting standards is a strong asset
- Excellent communication - both written and verbal with the ability to work well in a team environment with different personalities across an organization
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting and related systems is required – experience with NetSuite, Vena, and Salesforce is an asset
- Business process oriented – following existing ones, but also able to take the initiative to establish and make improvements
- A high level of independence, accountability, organization, good judgment, and attention to detail in a fast paced & rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency, prioritize work, meet objectives and deadlines with strong organizational capability
- Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude. Willing to go the extra mile!
What the job involves
- In your Financial Analyst role, you will report to our VP, FP&A and work closely with the rest of our FP&A team at Euna Solutions to support strategic decision-making processes by providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting
- You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to drive financial performance, optimize resource allocation, and contribute to the company's overall success
- Financial Planning: Assist in the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans working closely with finance team members and stakeholders across the organization. Prepare financial models to support the planning process and evaluate business initiatives
- Financial Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reports to ensure completeness and accuracy, explaining results and variances to management. Assist with operational P&L variance analysis and reporting including functional and product line reporting. Assist with month-end close activities as needed
- Reporting and Performance Metrics Tracking: Maintain reporting on key performance metrics such as ARR, Bookings, Retention, etc. ensuring accuracy and completeness. Build process around reporting that support scaling operations and dashboard reporting for senior leadership
- Strategic Business Partner: Partner with stakeholders across departments to provide financial guidance, support, and analysis. Work closely with the Revenue Operations team to align on SaaS metrics reporting and completion of commissions processing and reporting
- Systems Administration and Enhancement: leverage existing tools and/or implement new tools, systems, and processes with the focus on creating efficiencies and enhancing reporting across the organization. Maintains financial systems including troubleshooting & end-user support and creating functional & useful reports
- Other: the ability, willingness, and initiative to take on ad-hoc projects, as needed (for example: contributing to mergers and acquisition integrations and planning). Work closely with the transactional accounting team to ensure accurate, timely and complete monthly financial statements
