- Leverage performance learnings for future product strategies and positioning
- Partner with creative teams as a strategic collaborator and product expert
- Inspire and champion product storytelling that is brand-true, product correct, unexpected and compelling
- Maintain a high bar for creative quality while keeping work anchored to strategic intent
- Provide consumer, professional, and retail marketing teams with the strategic context and baseline assets they need to adapt global direction for their channels and markets
Our take
Sonos is a highly reputed global manufacturer of top tier speakers. Since being founded in 2002 it has become a market leading audio product brand, partnering with over 100 music service companies and putting products in nearly 11 million households worldwide.
Sonos' strong brand reputation has seen it carve out space in a competitive market alongside giants like Amazon and Alphabet, who are similarly targeting the connected audio home market. Sonos have perhaps been smart in keeping their product selection relatively modest, focusing instead on strategic partnerships that embed their products across different markets. They are, for example, partnered with Audi to provide their first in-car sound system.
As companies began adopting remote and hybrid work, Sonos benefitted from a period of increased consumer focus on refitting the leisure and work facilities of their homes. This includes speakers and smart speakers, which account for the vast majority of Sonos revenue. This trend is only set to continue, with the global home audio market expected to exceed $70 billion by 2030. As a market leader, Sonos is in good stead to continue its sustained growth.
