What the job involves
- Your primary responsibility will be to scale our data infrastructure by ensuring automation, security, and reliability across systems. Additionally, by creating, maintaining, and improving data pipelines you will ensure that the Data team is able to meet future data needs. As we grow, you will have the opportunity to scale data initiatives, helping to shape and expand our data capabilities
- In this role, you will work closely with the wider Data team and engineering stakeholders to translate complex problems to technical solutions. You’ll take ownership of projects, drive data initiatives, and contribute to the growth and maturity of the data team
- With AWS, Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, and Terraform at our core - you will have access to the best tooling and technologies to excel in your role
- Your daily responsibilities will include automating infrastructure, managing data ingestion pipelines, and working with batch, incremental, event-based, and streaming data. You’ll ensure the infrastructure is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance
- Collaborate with the wider team and stakeholders to gather requirements, scope projects, and ensure alignment from start to finish. You’ll manage stakeholder expectations, communicate progress, and independently drive the execution of technical tasks to meet project milestones
- Maintain high standards of quality and reliability by building monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities so that we can identify bottlenecks, detect issues, and respond proactively to ensure uninterrupted platform performance
- Contribute to improving the team’s processes, infrastructure and ways of working by scouting and adopting new technologies and methodologies
- Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and roadmap planning to ensure alignment with team goals, strategy, and timely delivery of projects

The rise of open banking has allowed fintechs to provide more personalised customer experiences, but setting up these systems requires specialists. It can also be difficult for smaller companies to provide more simple services such as fast card issuing and payments, reducing their ability to compete with other financial services.
Enfuce provides card issuing and payment services, helping clients to launch feature-rich payment cards that are secure, compliant, and quick to deploy. The company also helps businesses set up open banking systems, allowing customers to share their financial data to facilitate the creation of personalised financial tools.
Whilst many companies provide cards and open banking financial tools, this often requires complimentary infrastructure and software engineers - resources that many businesses are unable to access. Enfuce has been smart to offer a suite that allows any business to rapidly deploy cards and financial services, and continues to forge impressive partnerships as it doubles down on this core goal.
