Role
Who you are
- If you are a tenacious trailblazer who is energized by winning green-field D2C and B2B opportunities, we want you to join our extremely successful Mid-Market sales team
- 3-5 years of Mid-Market sales experience, with a proven track record of attaining quarterly quotas successfully selling complex SaaS deals to the C-suite in multi-stakeholder transactions that span technical and business buyers
- Consultative Value Selling: You win by understanding by providing your customers insights on transformation, articulating and enabling the execution of long-term approaches to modernize the subscription stack, retain subscribers, and out execute the competition
- Domain knowledge. Background selling marketing or growth technology, automation, analytics, AI/ML, CRM, or SaaS software, ideally with familiarity of Chargebee (and other subscription billing systems)
- Adaptable to Change. Your enthusiasm to build within a dynamic, high-growth pre-IPO industry leader is benefited by your abilities to stay organized in the CRM, and collaborate and forecast effectively
- Ability to influence. You are a naturally proactive, hands-on and collaborative evangelist who is able to command the respect of the organization through leadership, intelligence, creativity, curiosity, and hard work
What the job involves
- Get ready to target the C-Suite using measurable ROI-based case studies and proprietary benchmarks to build your case with forward-thinking C-Suites and operators. Enjoy the full support of a world-class team of technical solutions, customer success, marketing, and revenue operations professionals
- Attain quarterly sales quotas by landing and expanding strategic target accounts
- Own your desk and generate 3x-4x pipeline by taking on inbound leads and driving outbound prospecting campaigns, leveraging use-case driven marketing content and case studies
- Lead high value discovery and demo calls, multi-threading into Mid-Market organizations helping our customers realize value
- Articulate Chargebee Retention’s ROI-based value proposition clearly and effectively to potential clients while understanding the subscription billing and competitive landscape
- Innovate and maintain a growth mindset while educating our customers on best practices in billing, retention, and revenue recognition as they transform their businesses
- Lead customers through an end-to-end sales cycle, in collaboration with solutions consultants, internal executives, customer success, and legal/finance teams
Our take
Shifting to a subscription model can cause significant stress for companies of any size. Setup and management can prove complex, and the shift itself can be time-consuming. Chargebee has been working for over a decade now to remedy this issue, offering subscription-based SaaS and eCommerce companies a subscription billing and revenue management platform. Its software, stable REST API, and extensive customer support, have won significant clients including Pret a Manger, Calendly, and Okta.
The demand for subscription billing and revenue management is higher than ever, and Chargebee sees strong competition from companies such as Paddle, Chargify, and Recurly. However, the careful growth strategy it has adopted, in which it expanded from an SaaS focus to the eCommerce market, means it serves two sectors enjoying remarkable growth and hence has been able to grow impressively itself.
With a track record of careful expansion and a strong and simple product proposition, Chargebee is positioned well to maintain the industry leadership it has achieved. In addition, with more and more companies adopting the subscription model for their products, there is no doubt room for further growth in the future.
