Who you are
- Native Spanish, Fluent English
- 3/8 years of experience in Sales, Purchasing or Operations
- Superior negotiation skills in order to convince every partner to work with us!
- Comfort with working in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal

- Willingness to take ownership of topics and be accountable for results
- Passionate / Interest / Experience in the Biking industry is a plus!
What the job involves
- Upway is looking for a B2B Business Developer for Spain. Our goal is to build the largest and highest quality e-bike offering for Upway customers by sourcing the best e-bikes, refurbishing them, and delivering them to their new owner in a seamless customer experience
- The Business Developer role acquires used e-bikes from international B2B partners (manufacturers, retailers, refurbishers, rental companies, leasing firms, etc.) to gradually increase the number of e-bikes available on the website
- Reporting To: Territory Manager
- Build an ecosystem of hundreds of retailers with our trade-in solution
- Collaborate with leading e-bike manufacturers to build long-term relationships
- Refinine our value proposition and implementing robust procurement processes
- Lead negotiations on purchasing terms
- Be the face and voice of Upway in Spain to develop our awareness in the industry

Our take
Upway is a second hand marketplace for electric bicycles. The company buys electric bikes from private customers as well as e-bike companies, and refurbishes them where necessary before selling them at anywhere between 20 - 50% less than the original price.
With the electric bike industry thriving in Europe and expected to double in value over the next decade, Upway is creating a clever niche for itself by selling bikes at much less than the market rate while alleviating fears about second hand quality.
Since launching in 2019, Upway has attracted the backing of Sequoia Capital, who famously invested in the likes of Google and Airbnb. This has enabled the company to expand beyond its native France into Belgium while steadily growing its team.
Having recently entered the lucrative German, Dutch and US markets, Upway is hoping to expand its market presence. As the demand for greener modes of transport is growing exponentially in urban centres around the world it seems very likely that Upway will continue its recent run of success.
