Role
Who you are
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, Computer Science or related quantitative field
- Proficiency in firmware development with C/C++ and managing source code with Git
- Experience with communication protocols using Bluetooth LE
- Experience with bring-up and electrical validation of new hardware and testing requirements
- Experience interfacing with customer electronic hardware
- Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers, common communication peripherals (SPI, etc), hardware abstractions, etc
- Rapid electronics prototyping skills (microcontroller, analog and digital interfacing, etc.)
- Advanced signal integrity analysis such as jitter and crosstalk
Desirable
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, Computer Science or related quantitative field
- Experience working with audio systems
- Prior experience with Qualcomm chipset
- Deep understanding of DSP, linear systems, Fourier analysis, wavelet analysis, time-frequency analysis, artifact detection and removal, and convex optimization
- Experience in sensor fusion (analysis techniques, de-noising set ups, using multiple data acquisition systems)
- Experience with battery management, memory management, compression
- Experience with interfacing embedded systems with mobile & desktop applications via wired and wireless connections
What the job involves
- Architect and optimize multi-modal biosensing systems in a constrained power and size environment
- Architect and implement custom board support packages, along with other useful firmware utilities and tools
- Implement company procedures towards rapid and affordable hardware prototyping
- Collaborate with neuroscientists to improve digital pre-processing, feature extraction, de-noising, and machine learning algorithms
- Design wireless communication over BLE and interfacing with mobile applications
- Optimize power and space with creative solutions
