Who you are
- 1+ years of revenue accounting or audit experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA (or on track to be certified) required
- Basic knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606, and SOX required
- Possess excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
- Team player with a positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and work in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace (e.g. Google Sheets and Slides) required
- Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus
What the job involves
- The Revenue Accounting team is looking for a Staff Revenue Accountant to join our growing team
- You’ll have the unique opportunity to build processes, collaborate cross functionally, and play a key role in the team’s ability to scale
- The Staff Revenue Accountant will own various revenue accounting close tasks and gain exposure to ad hoc initiatives and projects
- In keeping with Reddit values, a successful candidate in this role is someone who operates with an open mindset and “values the human” in all interactions
- This position reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager and will work cross-functionally as a valuable member contributing to the Company’s continued growth and success
- The ideal candidate will have revenue accounting experience and be able to operate in a fast growing public company environment
- This person is a self-starter who is organized, highly analytical, collaborative and a problem solver

- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close deliverables
- Prepare monthly flux analysis for management review
- Prepare audit support for external and internal audits
- Own accounting and process documentation for areas of responsibility
- Assist in developing and maintaining SOX compliant accounting policies and procedures in areas of responsibility
- Establish effective relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies for areas of responsibility
- Assist in any revenue accounting-related system implementations
- Participate in special projects, analysis, and reporting as required by management
