Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Technical skillset to review, verify, and validate the software project code
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure and familiarity with common operating environments (Windows, MacOS)
- Excellent understanding of Python
- Strong comfortability with open-source technologies, and cloud services - deep experience with AWS required
- Proficient with Git and Git workflows
- Configuration and managing databases with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB or equivalent
- Working knowledge of various tools; virtualization, container, monitoring and configuration - willingness to learn new technologies as needed
- Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively - leadership qualities are an asset
- Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability to help elevate the team are always welcome
What the job involves
- Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Identify technical problems and develop software updates and ‘fixes’
- Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Incidence management and production root cause analysis
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Provide Level 2 technical support
- Collaborate with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
- Test and examine code written by others and analyzing results
- Project planning and involvement in project management decisions
- Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to developers
- Support recruitment efforts to grow the DevOps team, through to onboarding and training of new, junior-intermediate team mates
Our take
The quantified self movement is gaining momentum, especially in the health and fitness sector. Wearable health monitors, sleep trackers, and genetic testing have all firmly entered the mainstream, and body MRI scanning service Prenuvo is taking this concept to the next level. Prenuvo’s whole body diagnostic imaging offers customers a comprehensive picture of their body, whilst screening for 500+ major conditions and cancers.
The medical benefits of approaching these diseases proactively, as opposed to reactively, are substantial. Customers will be able to catch warning signs early, meaning treatment is likely to be less invasive, with a higher success rate. Unfortunately North America, like many regions, has yet to make substantial investments in preventative healthcare. This just makes companies like Prenuvo, and the VCs who fund them, increasingly necessary.
This funding, however has been substantial, and having closed multiple funding rounds, the company is now setting its sights on Europe. The opening of its first London clinic marks the start of that expansion, brining Prenuvo's full-body MRI services to a new market with high demand for early detection and diagnostic imaging. With plans to evaluate additional cities across the continent, the company is in a position to grow its international presence.
