Role
Who you are
- We are looking for an Associate - Growth & Strategy who is currently based in London
- 2-5 years experience in strategy consulting and/or strategy experience in high growth startup environment
- Analytical mindset, able to derive actionable insights and persuade with data
- Exceptional people and communication skills to build strong relationships with people on all levels of the organization
- Great problem-solving skills and creativity to identify and evaluate opportunities
- Pragmatic, positive, and organized - crucial for driving forward in an agile startup

- You have experience starting or scaling a successful startup
- You have a demonstrated interest in marketplaces, travel, events and all things experiential

What the job involves
- Reporting to the Senior Program Manager - Growth & Strategy
- The role focuses on developing new strategic initiatives through research, analysis, and presenting financial/analytical models. Then, this role will pilot and scale these strategic initiatives to drive revenue and market share growth
- Vision. The tours and activities market weighs 135 billion USD globally. You will lead the charge to identify the best growth opportunities for Headout, leveraging your market research and the wide range of data available internally
- Impact. Conduct strategic data analysis and build reports to support key business decisions
- Team. Collaborate closely with Product and Marketing teams to drive our expansion into new markets and categories. Engage senior-level stakeholders (GMs, VPs, and C-level executives) as well as colleagues across every department at Headout
- Growth. Get your hands dirty executing growth opportunities for local markets and products
- Collaboration. Build relationships with the external partners who make our work possible, finding creative ways to generate additional value for Headout

Our take
Over 25 million people from over 105 different cities have purchased a ticket for something on Headout, the mobile-first travel experience and activity platform. It’s a digital marketplace where users can browse tickets to leisure activities in their area, and providers can in turn get help filling last-minute slots.
Unlike some travel and hospitality businesses, Headout has already bounced back and surpassed its pre-pandemic revenue (3.1 Yx oY) and growth (3.2 x YoY) levels. The key was to focus on domestic travel, a new vertical it intends to expand in future with new funding on the table. It’s also looking to aggressively grow its footprint to add hundreds of new cities over the coming years, having doubled its business team in 2023.
Headout is in a very comfortable position to do so: every transaction it carries out is profitable, and there’s plenty of runway on its current funding. This means the team can focus on building out new features for both users and providers. The quality of its product will be its key advantage over Airbnb, which has for a while now been developing a competing marketplace.

- Non-remote teams will have complete flexibility to **work from anywhere** for extended durations multiple times a year. Longing to work from a beach for a couple of weeks, no problem
