Sales Development Director, vu.city

• You are an experienced, hands-on commercial leader with a proven track record of driving SaaS growth in dynamic, scaling businesses. You can create structure and you know how to build both processes and people that deliver results
• 5+ years of experience and proven track record in SaaS sales within a start-up or scale-up environment
• Proven success in defining and embedding sales processes that deliver measurable improvements
• Track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder SaaS deals
• Strong understanding of CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and analytics-led forecasting
• Experience selling to senior decision-makers
• Leadership experience with demonstrated success in building and scaling teams

• This is a senior strategic and executional leadership role responsible for driving VU.CITY’s new business growth and scaling our commercial capability
• You’ll take full ownership of the sales development strategy, refining our go-to-market approach, building and leading a high-performing team, and ensuring consistent delivery of revenue targets across both existing and new verticals (including asset management, real estate, insurance, and infrastructure)
• This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, operates with autonomy, and can balance immediate commercial delivery with long-term scale-building
• Own and refine the end-to-end sales development strategy, ensuring it aligns with company growth goals
• Lead complex, consultative SaaS sales cycles from qualification to close, engaging with senior and C-suite stakeholders
• Drive sales in both established and emerging markets, shortening sales cycles and increasing average contract values
• Lead market entry into new verticals by developing tailored sales plays and enablement collateral in collaboration with marketing and product teams
• Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and new revenue channels aligned with the 2026 platform relaunch
• Conduct a complete diagnostic of our current sales process within your first 6 weeks and deliver clear, actionable recommendations
• Implement best-practice pipeline management and forecasting using HubSpot and analytics tools to provide predictable, data-driven insight
• Establish metrics and performance frameworks that ensure consistency and accountability across the team
• Manage and mentor existing sales staff, with a roadmap to grow the sales development team from 1 to 7 by the end of 2027
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top-performing sales talent, setting clear expectations and embedding a culture of performance and integrity
• Lead by example, combining individual contribution with team leadership
• Take direct ownership of new business revenue targets and report performance against agreed KPIs
• Partner with the CCO and Finance teams to align commercial outcomes with company growth forecasts and investor reporting
• By Month 3:
• Complete a full process audit and present a revised, data-backed sales development strategy
• Build qualified pipeline coverage in at least two new verticals
• By Month 6:
• Deliver measurable improvements in conversion rates and sales velocity
• Recruit at least one additional high-performing Account Executive
• By Year 1:
• Achieve new business revenue targets and establish a repeatable, scalable sales playbook
• Embed robust pipeline forecasting and performance tracking processes
• By End of 2027:
• Lead a 7-person high-performing sales function consistently hitting growth targets
• Deliver sustained revenue growth with a balanced mix of existing and new verticals
