Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.), including designing, building, and deploying scalable and cost-effective applications
- Strong background in coding and software development. Proficient in multiple programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, Node.Js, Go)
- Expert in CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools
- Understanding and experience in designing and building microservices architecture, including experience with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. Experience with IAM and security tools like AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, etc
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Solid understanding of database architecture and data warehousing solutions
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional level is highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and cloud architecture, with at least 3 years specifically focusing on AWS
- Good English skills in speaking and writing
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues
What the job involves
- Design, develop and implement cloud-based enterprise IT solutions
- Create high-level to low-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems
- Collaborate with development teams and fellow engineers, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with the architectural vision
- Develop strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and implementation of a database
- Develop software solutions and best practices to improve efficiency and reliability of cloud-based systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud services and contribute to the design of optimal solutions
- Train and mentor junior team members in cloud and IT architecture and software development
