Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of software development experience in a production environment
- Proficiency and comfort working with Java, React, and PostgreSQL
- Comfortable working with RESTful design
- Solid understanding of software design principles and best practices
- Experience with testing frameworks, automation tools (such as Selenium), and infrastructure concepts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to take ownership of complex technical features and deliver them with minimal supervision
Desirable
- Experience in networking or infrastructure software development
- Experience or familiarity with DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) concepts — even if it’s just from hands-on experience configuring a router or home network
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Software Developer to join our Integrity team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and enhance features across the BlueCat Integrity ecosystem
- You’ll work primarily with Java, React, and PostgreSQL, collaborating with a talented team of engineers focused on scalability, performance, and reliability
- You’ll be expected to take ownership of complex technical problems, design thoughtful solutions, and contribute to the overall quality of the product
- Design, develop, and maintain backend and frontend components of the Integrity platform using Java, React, and PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with other developers, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements
- Tackle and resolve complex technical challenges with creativity and independence
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to testing and automation strategies to improve reliability and maintainability
- Occasionally work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments and performance
