What the job involves

We are looking for an experienced 1LOD Risk and Control Subject Matter Expert with expertise in Commercial Risk to join our UK&I Central Control Function
Reporting into our Head of Risk Operations
The Commercial Risk SME helps us identify emerging risks, strengthen controls, and make smarter decisions across sales, contracting, pricing, and client delivery
Reviewing commercial activities to spot trends, risks, and control gaps
Analysing incidents and data to uncover root causes
Advising business teams on improving risk and control effectiveness
Producing thematic reviews and insights to influence leadership
Help develop our 1LoD Risk Framework
Collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and 2LoD Risk to clarify understanding
Designing and tracking key risk indicators (KRIs)
Sharing good practice and uplifting capability across the 1LoD
